On December 27, 2017, Sunshine IP received the final judgment from Beijing Higher People's Court (2016) No. 4799 and ruled to uphold the judgment of first instance of Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court. This is the eleventh winning judgment in the series received by Sunshine IP. This patent dispute involves a large area of agricultural machinery combine harvesters, transplanter and other large farm machinery and equipment.

The above series of patent disputes is a counter-attack to the patent litigation against Japan Kubota filed in China: As the world's agricultural giant, Kubota has thousands of granted patents in China. In recent years, Kubota restricts the Chinese domestic agricultural machinery business development by frequently filing patent infringement litigation or sending attorney letter. To this end, the relevant agricultural machinery business entrusted Sunshine IP to perform a patent early warning, and for the risk of patent to entrust Sunshine IP to launch a number of invalidation petitions, and triggered a number of patent administrative litigation, and ended up winning all of the cases. The success of this series of cases played a decisive role for the agricultural machinery industry related companies to get rid of Kubota patent monopoly.
