Founded in 2000, Sunshine Intellectual Property Group (“Sunshine IP”) has been committed to delivering a professional, high-quality experience to our clients. We specialize in patent and trademark prosecution and procurement, invalidation, and all forms of intellectual property litigation. We also provide IP strategy planning, IP counseling, IP research, IP innovation assessment, and IP investment services.

As of 2026, our team comprises nearly 600 members, approximately 80% of whom focus on patent prosecution, litigation, consulting, trademark and copyright services, and IP operations. Our team includes PhDs and postdoctoral researchers, and more than 70% hold a master’s degree or higher. It also brings together experts such as members of the Supreme People’s Court Intellectual Property Case Guidance Research Base, national-level leading talents in patent information, senior analysts, asset appraisers, and IP judicial appraisers.

Our clients include Gree, State Grid, Mengniu Group, Geely, and Tsinghua University. Our service quality and efficiency have earned broad recognition, and we handle up to 20,000 filings annually.

To date, we have handled more than 4,000 patent invalidation and infringement matters.

“Process for jointly producing cyanuramide, sodium carbonate and ammonium chloride by using carbamide ” was selected as one of the “Top 100 Outstanding Chinese Patents of 2010.”

2009

• The patent invalidation case of “The World’s No. 1 Saber” was selected as one of the “Top 10 Invalid Cases of the Patent Reexamination Committee of the National Intellectual Property Office in 2008.”
• Undertook the patent overseas early warning project from the Beijing Intellectual Property Office, which was reported by Reference News.
The case of “L-aminoclodipine malate tablets” directly led to the issuance of a new judicial interpretation and was included in the “2009 Supreme People’s Court Guiding Cases,” “2010 Top 50 Typical Cases of Intellectual Property Judicial Protection in Chinese Courts,” and “2014 Supreme People’s Court Compilation of Intellectual Property Litigation Procedures and Evidence Cases.”
